人事處理實戰

三個星期前, 老細放大假, 走時將個 team 交俾我打理, 給與了幾項特別指示, 然後告訴 Director Mr.L, 有什麼事搵小弟, 之後就絕塵而去。 以前老細放假, 會叫我同另外兩個 senior 合力管住個 team, 今次佢一走便是三個禮拜, 而且只叫我一個去 run 個 team, 我是心感壓力的。 成組十多人, 我是最遅加入的幾個之一, 組員也有與我同級, 甚至更高級的工程師, 所以我對他們的態度是要很小心的。  那時我只希望呢三個禮拜冇事發生, 平穩渡過, 但經驗告知, 一定會有人搞事的, expect the unexpected.

老細走了第二天, 組員間已有輕微磨擦, 個 junior 唔服一個 senior, 個 senior 便在電郵公開為難他。 呢D事, 經理在時, 佢地一定唔敢做, 家吓煩著我, 我自已都還有很多工程項目要做的。 點都好, 私底下同佢地四四六六拆掂佢, 搞咗我大半日, 問題算是解決了。 之後人事間平靜了兩個星期,  點知最尾幾日才來一個大炸彈。 另外一組的總工程師 (又係F哥以前的老細), 繞過我, 直接向我組員施壓, 要搶一個工程師 resource。  呢個我有少少慶, 但唔 surprise, 我知總工程師個性格係咁。 我最慶的是, 我的 senior 組員全部聽晒佢講, 就由得佢攞走一個 junior 工程師去做佢的 project。 而那個 junior, 有口難言, 向我求助, 我明白佢做細嘅, 冇計, 我做大嘅會幫佢。 今次我花的口舌更加多, 同四五個組員遂個了解情況, 再同 Director 傾, 最後再同總工程師拆掂佢。 雖然結果非我最想要的, 始終我權力有限, 但我已經盡力去保護我的組員, 問心無愧了。

今天經理回歸, 第一件事便提到總工程師搶人的事。 他未有怪責, 但他說會親自同總工程師再傾,  希望能順利解決。

  1. F哥以前的老細 seems quite difficult to deal with…
    the junior should really tell F哥以前的老細 to talk to you first before assigning any job to him/her. the seniors seem to just let this happen and watch a drama to unfold?!

  2. The senior folks are not aware the seriousness of this matter. When the big guy come and press pressure, they just want the easy way out. But later on when I told them this “When our manager came back, and he knew YOU let go a resource from YOUR project without any resist, what will he think?”. Then the senior engineers started to worry. Anyway, I talked to director and F哥以前的老細 to smooth thing out. So when the manager is back, at least we show the effort to protect his team.
